S.W.A.G = Something We All Got

I got S.W.A.G. You got a problem with that??

As a music lover who plays guitar and piano and sings, I really recommend any music lover out there to listen to this song and pay close attention to the lyrics. They're quite deep, believe me.

I really enjoy playing this on guitar :) give it a go! Good luck :D

Class Picture - Class 5 Teratai of 2012

Date : 28 May 2012

I woke up earlier than usual due to the foreseen circumstances that my dad had to bring my brother and I to my grandma's house before work, like he does every school holiday. I got dressed, packed up my stuff and head to the door. I had breakfast at grandma's and was soon on my way to my best friend's house so that her dad will take me and her to Kelana Jaya LRT station to meet up with my classmates.
Upon reaching, I saw Kevin. He said,"5 Ixora is down there and they'll be having their class photo-shoot at KLCC."  In my mind, I was like, this can't be happening. But whatever.
We waited for the rest to come and at 10.00am, we soon depart to KLCC.
Inside the LRT, we had to squeeze with other people. We didn't think many people would take the LRT at this hour. Neither have we thought that we would depart this late. We planned to leave at 9.30am.
After standing for 6 stops, we arrived at KLCC. We head to the escalators near Aquaria which was led by Valery and we made a big round I think, because we passed Starbucks. Twice. In truth, the other escalator is just on the other side.
After reaching the surface of Bukit Bintang, we walked towards the bridge that link KLCC to Pavilion which is located in Bukit Bintang. The bridge was long and air-conditioned. So it wasn’t half bad.
We made it to Pavilion and start the photo-shoot. Valery, who was our photographer on that day, took photos of the guys near the Madagascar exhibition which was located near the entrance of Pavilion. It was hysterical! Cheng Jin posed just like how Gloria (the hippo in Madagascar), posed – the ballerina pose.
Not long after, Mun Leng, Jowyn, Yushan, Nicholas and Joon Yin arrived. From there, we continue our journey to Starhill Gallery which was located right opposite Pavilion.  Once we got inside, the scent and atmosphere startled us. We didn’t know how high class it was! Jewellery shops can see been from left to right; Designer shoes and bags with price ranges up to RM1000.
The atmosphere was quiet at first. But upon our arrival, we penetrated that silence with our chatting.
We start to take some pictures again. But the lights were somewhat dim. We had tons of fun there. It was awkward actually because we could feel the people working at those branded shops were staring at first. We were that loud. But who cares.
After that, we went downstairs, to where the food court was. To me, it wasn’t a food court because it was just TOO HIGH CLASS! We continue taking some pictures under the dim light and I took some with my little digital camera, unlike Valery’s DSLR. The place was gorgeous. Little lantern lights decorated the side of the walkway and unique lighting just right above our heads. It was just the perfect place to take some pictures for senior page.
Unfortunately, the security guard told us not to block the walkway. But not to my surprise, not many people were in the building anyway.
Once we’re done, we head back to Pavilion to shoot some more. Tourist and local people tend to stare at us every now and then because we were making such a hell of a noise and we acted funny. But who could blame us? We’re unique. We’re 5 Teratai.
After taking individual and epic group shots, we went to Lot 10, which has the best food around, to have lunch as everyone’s stomach was empty. Around 11.30pm, the vast place was crowded with people. Song Kee, famous for its Beef Ball Noodles, was there too and a line was forming in front of it. I wanted to eat it but I can’t due to time constriction. But never mind. I could always go back there again.
After our empty tummies were filled with delicious food from Lot 10, we continued our photo-shoot in front of Pavilion. Jowyn went back home. Individual and group shots were taken and unique poses were carried out. We also posed on the Burberry alphabets outside Pavilion. After that, we shot some more photos in front of the fountain.
As I was posing for Valery, a tourist suddenly stood next to me and posed too. He almost scare me to death! Never in my life have I experienced such a thing. Jia Yi said I was really lucky to have a ‘Mat Salleh’ posed with me. I guess she got jealous because she wanted to pose with him.
After shooting in front of Pavilion and under the really hot sun rays, we went up to where the cinema and Red Box located. Mun Leng and Yoong Hui bought tickets to catch Dark Shadows. We shot more pictures on the bridge that links to the cinema and Red Box.  After what seemed like 5 minutes, some wanted to walk around and the other half, karaoke. After discussing, Valery said we all head down again and shoot some more.
We got bored and took the bridge that links KLCC and Bukit Bintang back to KLCC. Before that, some of my classmates went back home as it was already 3pm and they want to avoid the rush-hour.
We head to KLCC park and playground and shoot more photos there. After walking under the scorching heat, we soon thirst for water. Luckily, there was a drinking fountain there and we quench put thirst. I didn’t know the playground was huge. There’s a pool too. But I guess it’s for kids and not for teenagers like us. We soon found that out after Tze Ying sat on a swing and the security guard who was on duty blew the whistle at her.
After reaching inside KLCC, we were still thirsty and Min Sheng recommended that we go to his uncle’s ice cream shop. The price of one cup of ice cream is enough for us to buy two plates of chicken rice at the hawker stall!
We ponder about it and Kevin decided that we went to the food court to buy drinks. Then he suggested that we went to Sushi King as Sushi King gives free green tea refills. We had some sushi and the amount of food that Kevin ordered was enough to feed 2 people. No wonder he’s growing fatter. Some people had left to eat something else. So all that’s left was Kevin, Valery, Jack, Jia Yi and me sitting at the table.
After that, with some extra time to spare, we head to TGV cinemas to kill time. Unfortunately, the show times were not at our side. So we left and walked to Pavilion (yes, we did cross the bridge again) and hoping to go Karaoke or catch a movie.
The Karaoke price at Red Box during lunch time was so different compared to the usual time. The guy at the counter said, “RM68 per person.” We were astounded! We didn’t know it was that expensive! The price during lunch time was RM21 per person. I guess that’s business. We should go during lunch hour. But none of us wanted to go at that time.
So we hanged around Snowflake at KLCC and chit chat while some of us had some dessert.
About 6.30pm, we left to catch the LRT. The rest of them went back. So the remaining ones are Kevin, Tze Ying, Valery, Fun Rong, Jia Yi and me. The 5 of us followed Valery to the Monorail station and from there, we’ll take the monorail and stop at KL Central to take the LRT back to Kelana Jaya. The monorail station at KL Central to the LRT station was quite far. We had to cross the road and went through a narrow walkway to the LRT station. Nearby, there was a bus. It said, “Bandar Utama.” We were happy and glad that that bus will take us back to Bandar Utama. But some of us already told our parents that we’ll be reaching Kelana Jaya station. So we went up and boarded the crowded LRT.
After the LRT had departed from the station, we were happy that we’ll be going home. But to our surprise, the LRT was heading to Gombak! We got off at the next station and took the next one back to Kelana Jaya. Thank God, it was the correct one. If we had been blur enough, we might reached Gombak!
In the LRT, we laughed at our silly mistake and joke about Tze Ying’s incident where the guard blew the whistle at her and the time where Valery, Tze Ying and Fun Rong ran inside the bridge and the guard on duty blew the whistle at them. It was EPIC!
Fun Rong told me that Kevin’s tummy got bigger. I hadn’t notice!
Valery snapped a few more pictures and to our surprise, we were the only ones talking inside the LRT. Everyone else was sleeping, resting or reading. Oops! Our bad.
Overall, the class photo shoot turned out to be epic and wild. I hope to meet up with them again and have fun with the whole lot.
I bet none of the classes that had their photo shoot were as fun and wild as this.
I’m going to miss them for sure.
We’re 5 Teratai! We’re Versatile! We’re EPIC!

Jason Mraz's newest song has captivated the hearts of millions from all over the world. So.. enjoy :) I know I did. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !!

I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not
And who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
Still looking up.

I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes

Just waking up in the morning
And the beat well
Quite honest with ya,
I ain't really sleep well
Ya ever feel like your train a thoughts been derailed?
That's when you press on [...]
Half the population's just waitin to see me fail
Yeah right, you're better off trying to freeze hell
Some of us do it for the females
And others do it for the retails

But I do it for the kids, life through the tower head on
Everytime you fall its only making your chin strong
And I be in your quarter like mid, baby, til the end
Or when you hear this song from that big lady

[Bridge]
Until the referee rings the bell
Until both your eyes start to swell
Until the crowd goes home
What we gonna do ya'll?

[Chorus - Ryan Tedder]
Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then just save me, save me, save me
There goes a fighter, there goes a fighter
Here comes a fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me
Say to me, this one's a fighter

[Verse 2]
You need to block the last thirty rounds
There's no reason you should ever have your head down
Six foot five, two hundred and twenty pounds
Hailing from rock bottom, loserville, nothing town

Text book version of the kid going nowhere fast
And now im yelling kiss my ass,
It's gonna take a couple right hooks a few left jabs
For you to recognize that you really ain't got it bad

[Bridge]
Until the referee rings the bell
Until both your eyes start to swell
Until the crowd goes home
What we gonna do ya'll?

[Chorus - Ryan Tedder]
Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then just save me, save me, save me
There goes a fighter, there goes a fighter
Here comes a fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me
Say to me, this one's a fighter

Everybody put yo hands up
What we gonna do? (x7) ya'll

If you fall pick yourself up off the floor (get up)
And when your bones can't take no more
Just remember what you're here for
Cuz I know imma damn sure

Give em hell, turn their heads
Gonna live life til we're dead.
Give me scars, give me pain
Then just save me, save me, save me
There goes a fighter, there goes a fighter
Here comes a fighter
That's what they'll say to me, say to me
Say to me, this one's a fighter

Till the referee rings the bell
Till both ya eyes start to swell
Till the crowd goes home,
What we gonna do kid?
A good song to start 2012. Enjoy :) Thanks to Samuel Ooi for introducing this song to me. Thanks ;)

(Picture taken at the New Year's Eve Countdown at Mutiara Damansara 2012)

A picture speaks a thousand words.

As I was at The Curve on New Year's Eve, I saw many people from different backgrounds. I wished time will stop at that very moment. I was having fun with my friends that night and I don't want it to end...

When the host was shouting "3...2...1", I was reflecting on how 2011 has been treating me. Good or bad? Memories was attacking me at every corner. I couldn't stop them.

And then it happened. The clock has strucked 12. 2012 has already begun. As though somebody pressed the initiate button or something. Fireworks booming and people shouting "HAPPY NEW YEAR". I looked up. It happened so fast as though it was a movie.

Seeing the fireworks that day made me realized that I need to look ahead and never look back. The booming of fireworks indicates that 2012 is gonna be a fresh start for me. Time to put all the painful memories behind and start again. Because this and that is life.

hehe. Merry Christmas :)
